About the Degree Application Procedure and Submission of Dissertation Papers for Masters Students of the 2012 Class

Dear Masters Students of the 2012 Class:

The dissertation presentations of this semester will be arranged around the later half of May (please pay close attention to updates on our homepage). Please submit the finalized dissertation paper and other necessary materials between 5th May – 9th May after your supervisor’s review on it and approval for you to attend the dissertation presentations (supervisors please signature at the “supervisor’s comment” column in the S3 “Degree Application and Review Form” ). Students who fail to submit the dissertation papers and required materials by 17:00 9th May would have to postpone their dissertation presentations to the nest semester.

 

Mind the following requirements:

1.    Please strictly follow the instruction and complete the steps online as requested by the School, otherwise the application will not be able to be processed.

Make sure you complete the following procedure before 9th May: log in the School’s homepage’s “educational management system”(EMS), open the Degree Application system, fill in all required information in “dissertation proposal”, “dissertation review”, “dissertation presentations”, and “Degree Application” sections, upload the electronic version of the dissertation paper at required place, double check all the information and print out related forms

2.    Time and location of Submission.

Time: 5th May – 9th May 2015 (8:00-17:00)

Location: Room 105, the Phoenix Building, Wuchuan Road

4.    Dissertation submission process:

a)    Enter the “self submission platform for masters students’ dissertation papers”.

b)   Pick up a material bag.

c)    Put in the materials in to the bag as instructions on the platform.

d)    After successfully submitting all required materials, sign at requested place at the end of the “Name list of the masters students of the 2012 Class”.

e)    Pick out a number from the “Blind Examination Numbers Form” at Teacher Dong, mark down your name with the number and cross the number out of the number list.

f)     Log on the EMS and check for the chosen numbers for Blind Examination. Once chosen, please prepare necessary materials as required by the Schedule Form in the system.


5.    Dissertation presentations arrangement:

a)    The school will carry out the Coincidence Detection right after collecting all students’ finalized electronic version of the dissertation papers. Students with the result of over 25% coincidence rate will not be qualified for this time’s dissertation presentations. The papers will be returned to students for revision.

b)   For students passed the Detection, their dissertation papers will be sent for expert review. And upon passing all the expert review the student is eligible for attending the dissertation presentations.

c)    More detail of the presentation arrangement will be noticed soon.
