Notice for Solicit Contributions for the 2014 China Tax and Policy International Seminar

    The 2014 China Tax and Policy International Seminar will be held in Xiamen University from 13th to 14th December, which is co-hosted by the Department of Public Finance in the School of Economics of Xiamen University, the School of Business of University of Sydney, “Journal of Chinese Tax and Policy” Editorial Department, the Tax and Policy research center of Monash University, and jointly hosted by “Economics of Finance and Trade” Editorial Department.

    The seminar aims at fostering active discussion among Chinese and foreign scholars on the issues in China tax reformation, providing an inter-disciplinary platform for communication, and leading the theoretical and practical innovation in China’s tax reformation. The theme of this seminar is “China Business Tax changes to Value-added Tax: Economic Effects Analysis and Policy Design”. And now the school is publicly collecting out-standing academic articles on the topic from domestic and abroad. We sincerely welcome the masses of scholars and experts to contribute.

 

Topic of the article should be on (but not limited to): China Business Tax changes to Value-added Tax: Economic Effects Analysis and Policy Design.

 

Article Submission Requirements:

1.       Only English articles will be accepted. Chinese experts are allowed to submit a Chinese version of the paper and the abstract at the initial stage, but must hand in an English version if the article passes the examination and will be used at the seminar. If the English version is translated from the Chinese version, please hand in the original Chinese copy as well. Should you encounter any difficulties during the process of translation work please explain the problems to the Committee.

2.       The contributed article must be original work without copyright disputes. Excellent articles will firstly be recommended to publish on the “Journal of Chinese Tax and Policy”.

3.       This seminar only accepts contributions through email. The contact persons and emails are:

4.       Article submission deadline: 14th November, 2014.

 

Conference commission: The Seminar charges no register fees. Transportation and accommodation fees are not sponsored. Attendees who are doctorate students can apply for financial support.
