Patrick Mendis authored the book Peaceful War: How the Chinese Dream and the American New World Order. As the alumnus of Harvard Executive Leadership Program at the Kennedy School of Government and Hubert Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota, Professor Mendis wrote Trade for Peace and Commercial Providence: The Secret Destiny of the American Empire. He once was the Vice President of Robert Osgood Center for International Studies at John Hokins University. Under the government of Clinton and Bush, he once served as diplomat and professor of the military (NATO Command and Pacific Command). Dr. Mendis took the positions in the Minnesota House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the World Bank, and the United Nations. Now, he is the advisor to the Harvard International Review and a member of the World Academy of Art and Science. He was appointed as commissioner to the United States National Commission for UNESCO by Obama government.
