Hu Wuyang taught in America after he was awarded with doctor’s degree in Economics at University of Alberta, Canada. He was the lecturer, associate professor (tenured professor) at University of Kentucky. He was made an exception to be promoted as professor and doctoral tutor of Department of Economics in School of Agriculture, Food and Environment in 2013. He was the youngest professor in recent 20 years in this school. He took the position as chief editor of Canadian Journal of Agriculture Economics, which was the key periodical by Canadian Agricultural Economics Association and SSCI/SCI double index one since 2011. At the same time, he was the chairman of China branch of American Agriculture and Applied Economics Association. He mainly studies Economics of Consumption, Behavioral Economics, Marketing, Applied Econometrics and Environmental Resource Economics. He won the “Best Essay” award in America and Canada by different international academic organization. He once published nearly 50 papers on many international SSCI/SCI periodicals such as American Agricultural Economics, Canadian Agricultural Economics, European Agricultural Economics Reviews, Marine Resource Economics, Growth and Change, Environmental Economics and so on. He takes the charge of invited reviewer of over 40 international periodicals.
