Lu Ming is Special-term Professor of Jiaotong University, doctoral tutor, director of China Development Research Center, and member of Shanghai CPPC. His research fields are Labour Economics, Urban, Rural and Regional Development and Social Economics. He was the main responsible host of National Natural Science Foundation key program, National Social Science Foundation key program, and some key programs of Ministry of Education as well as some international co-operational research programs of World Bank and Asian Development Bank.
As part-time professor of Fudan University, Lincoln Research Center of Peking University and Hitotsubashi University. He once took the position of consultant expert of World Bank and Asian Development Bank. He won the award of “New Century Outstanding Talents”, Shanghai “Shuguang Scholar” (2005), Shanghai Leading Talents (2009) and Shanghai Top 10 Young Economics Characters (2010). His papers were published on overseas journals, such as Journal of Comparative Economics, World Development as well as national journals like Social Sciences in China, Economic Research, Quarterly Journal of Economics, World Economics, and Management World. His research achievements won many national and regional academic prizes.
