Invited by IPPA of SUFE, dean of center for Urban Development and Land Policy of Peking University-Lincoln Institute Doctor Liu Zhi came to SUFE for academic exchange from Feb 17 to 20. Doctor Liu Zhi obtained his doctor degree form Harvard University and previously worked in sustainable development department of East Asia and Pacific area of world bank, and Harvard International development institute, focusing on the research of transportation and urban development.
On the morning of Feb 19, Dean Liu Zhi gave a lecture on investment and financing on urban infrastructure with his 20 years’ working experience in world bank. More than 60 teachers, students and scholars attended the lecture and had interactive communication with doctor Liu Zhi.
On the afternoon of 19, Dean Liu Zhi had a communication with related young teachers from IPPA, institute of China’s Public Finance, and SPEA, offering many innovative ideas for their academic research.
On the mornings of 18 and 20, Liu Zhi had in-depth discussions with Prof Yu Wei, Prof. Hu Yijian, Prof. Liu Xiaochuan regarding the cooperation of academics, subjects, and decision-consulting. The parties agreed to jointly held an international seminar of Shanghai urban transformation and development for further cooperation and communication.
