Recently, the name list of 2013 Shuguang Scholars was announced in the portal site of Shanghai education. There were total 122 young teachers recommended by universities and Shanghai Academy of social sciences applying the Shuguang Plan in 2013. After the evaluation of Shanghai education commission and Shanghai educational development foundation, 58 candidates were selected as 2013 Shuguang Scholars. SPEA Prof. Chen Jie was successfully enrolled, together with another SUFE teacher. Shuguang Plan is advocated and contributed by Shanghai educational development foundation, and jointly implemented with Shanghai education commission, aiming to provide financial aid to those below-40 core teachers in universities.
