On April 18 2014, Prof. Chen Jie was invited to attended the China International Urbanization Forum 2014 jointly held by City and town reform and development center of National development and reform commission, World Economic Forum, and world bank on Meilan Lake international conference center in Baoshan, and took the speaker’s role in Urban Regeneration and Transformation Sub-forum, discussing topics as land use efficiency, developing plans, environment and culture protection in city regeneration, together with 5 guests including Qiao Runling, vice dean of City and town reform and development center of National development and reform commission.
China International Urbanization Forum 2014 is a high level urbanization forum in domestic. Mayor of Shanghai Yang Xiong attended the forum, while dean of National development and reform commission Xu Shaoshi, vice dean of Central finance leading group office Yang Weimin, dean of UN human settlements Programme Joan Clos made keynote speeches.
