On 27th October, the Fourth National Working Conference of Education Unit of Master of Taxation (MT), sponsored by China National Committee for MT Education, was undertaken by our school successfully. Members of China National Committee for MT Education, external experts, directors of education units and 115 backbone teachers attended the conference. Song Lan (the chairman of China National Committee for MT Education and the deputy director of State Administration of Taxation), Shu Jinlong (the chairman of Shanghai Municipal Academic Degree Education Commission), Guo Jianfei (the director of Shanghai Municipal Office, SAT Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Local Taxation), Zhou Guangren (the director of Zhejiang Provincial Office, SAT), Jiang Jianping (Jiangsu Local Taxation Bureau), Fan Mingli (the president of SHUFE), Sun Zheng (the vice President of SHUFE) and Zheng Shaohua (the vice president of graduate school) attended the opening ceremony.
The conference lasted for one day and including three parts, opening ceremony, working experiences sharing and group discussion. The opening ceremony is hosted by Professor Lei Genqiang (the vice chairman of China National Committee for MT Education and secretary of the Party Committee of Economic School at Xiamen University). Fan Mingli (the president of SHUFE) and Guo Jianfei (the director of Shanghai Municipal Office, SAT Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Local Taxation) made speech in behalf of SPEA and Shanghai Municipal Office, SAT Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Local Taxation respectively. Later on, Shu Jinlong (the chairman of Shanghai Municipal Academic Degree Education Commission) introduced the working experiences about the management of master degree in Shanghai.
Song Lan (the chairman of China National Committee for MT Education and the deputy director of State Administration of Taxation) attended the opening creamery and made meaningful speech, including a summary of last year’s work of China National Committee for MT Education and the achievement of the MT education. Song Lan also elaborated the vision and the focus of the future work, and then put forward the valuable advice for the development of China National Committee for MT Education and the MT education.
The experiences sharing part was hosted by Professor Zhu Weiqun (the member of Committee for MT Education of SHUFE). Zhou Guangren (the director of Zhejiang Provincial Office, SAT) and Jiang Jianping (the director of Jiangsu Local Taxation Bureau) illustrated the increasing demand of application-oriented talents in national and local taxation bureaus in light of the modernizing of national governance and taxation governance. Zhou Guangren and Jiang Jianping also proposed the idea that the taxpayer, taxation bureaus and social service agency work together to foster taxation talents. Jiang Ying (the Tax and business advisory business partner of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu) shared the experience of talent training within Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and put forward specific suggestion regarding to top taxation talent training. Professor Shen Zhaozhang from Jinan University and Professor Wang Jinxia from Jilin University of Finance and Economics shared the experience of practical teaching and curriculum provision of the research master. Ji Biying (a master student of 2013 taxation class) and Zheng Kejie (master student of 2014 Taxation class) made a speech entitled the Review and Prospect of Taxation Master Study Life. They also showed students’ classroom learning, professional practice, job application and colorful life.
In group discussion part, directors of education units and backbone teachers went deeply into the relevant documents enacted by China National Committee for MT Education and the relevant topic of MT Education. Finally, Liu Rong (the member of China National Committee for MT Education and the dean of the college of finance and taxation at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics) summarized the conference. All in all, the Fourth National Working Conference of Education Unit of MT is a great success as it involved all the fixed propositions and gained praise from all participants.
