On December 6, 2014, some alumni of 2000, majoring in Public Finance, Taxation, Property Management and Appraisal, and Public management, agree on the same date to go back to their alma mater, to celebrate the ten-years’ anniversary of graduation. Shen Hui, the secretary of SPEA CPC general branch, expressed warm welcome to all these alumni on behalf of the school. Lv Ping, the head teacher of taxation class of 2000 and now the researcher of discipline inspection commission, and Peng Jianbin, the head teacher of Property Management and Appraisal class of 2000 and now the division chief of logistics management, also take part in this activity and give speeches.
It’s a little cold in the early winter, but the cold weather could never stop the Alumni’s enthusiasm. With the sunny day after a whole week’s rain, the campus turn out to be even more charming. The alumni gather at the front door in Guoding campus at around 10 and begin their visit. They reenter Teaching Building I & II, search dormitory North 4 and the former site of log cabin, experience the sweet service of new Lvye canteen, and reviewed the Lover’s Lane and Chunhui Lake which are full of their memories at that youth age. They enjoy the scenery, take photos, think about memories, talk and laugh all the way. Some of the alumni even bring their children together to feel the great change of SUFE in the past decade.
At 14:00 in the afternoon, Alumni participate the 2000th Alumni 10 years anniversary forum in Room 302 of Phoenix Building. The secretary of SPEA CPC general branch Shen Hui, on behalf of the school, shows warm welcome to all the alumni, introduces the development of SPEA, the current situation of One Body Two Wings, harmonious development of multi-majors, the updated achievement of internationalization, shares the plan of Alumni works and SUFE’s centennial in 2017, reminds the alumni to keep health in these special ages when career and family are both in a rising period, wishes Alumni could provide suggestions to help school’s work and development. The head teacher of taxation class of 2000 and now the researcher of discipline inspection commission, Lv Ping, is also the alumna of 1980 major in finance and credit. Ms Lv shares her memories when she first came to SUFE, introduces the well-organized activities of school return of alumni of 1980, expresses her gratitude to alma mater, and shows her concern and blessing on alumni of 2000. The head teacher of Property Management and Appraisal class of 2000 and now the division chief of logistics management, Peng Jianbin, is also our 1989’s alumnus in finance major. He studied and worked in SUFE for more than 20 years, and is very familiar with the school especially for he is now in charge of all the back office project construction and management. In his speech, he recites some funny stories at that time, introduces some school plans and development in recent years, describes the beautiful campus in 2017 SUFE’s centennial, and welcomes alumni back to school when they have time.
Alumni are very active to join the discussion, some recall their funny stories when they came to SUFE, some share their feelings in these ten years, some report their achievement in career, and some talk with the great change and development of SUFE. Through these talks, we can feel the deep gratitude of alumni to their alma mater and their teachers, and the strong sense of identity of being a SUFEer. Alumni also express their best wish to see a better SPEA, a truly Alumni’s home, which could become a bridge of thousands of alumni, and a carrier of SUFE spirit and SPEA culture. At the end, alumni make an appointment that they would come together to SUFE in the year of 2017 to celebrate the school’s centennial.
