SPEA successfully holds undergraduate discipline evaluation meeting

On the afternoon of Dec 5, 2014, SPEA holds the meeting of undergraduate discipline evaluation. Five external experts present this evaluation meeting and they are Prof. Pan Yingli from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Prof. Zhu Qigui from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Prof. Li Jiuling from Shanghai Custom College, Prof. Shi Jiangang from Tongji University, and Prof. Zhong Renyao from East China Normal University. The meeting is conducted by SPEA vice dean Fang Fang.

The involved disciplines in this evaluation of our SPEA are taxation, investment, labor and social security, and real estate operation and management. Taxation department Dean Zhu Weiqun, Investment department Dean Yang Dakai, Social Security department Dean Yue Yin, and real estate major leader Chen Jie give reports respectively to the experts concerning the detailed aspects of discipline development, major construction, undergraduate teaching, and research, etc.

The external expert team listens carefully to the reports and speak highly of their achievement in their own professional industry and undergraduate teaching aspect. They point out direct the existing problems of each major and share several suggestions on major construction, discipline development, and intellectual training. They also lay emphasis on attracting high-quality talents, training young teachers, and developing students’ diversification. After an overall review and discuss of these majors, the expert team agree that the four majors of taxation, investment, labor and social security, and real estate operation and management, are all qualified in this evaluation.
