Researcher of Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGVEAESP) Prof. Hsia Hua Sheng gives a lecture

On the morning of Dec 23, invited by IPPA, Researcher of Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGVEAESP) Prof. Hsia Hua Sheng gave a lecture on Insight for China from the American Investment in Brazil.

Before the lecture, Dean of IPPA Prof Hu Yijian issued the certificate of part-time researcher for Prof. Hsia Hua Sheng.

On the lecture, Prof. Hsia Hua Sheng systematically introduced Brazil’s macro economic development and industry characteristics, America and other foreign investors’ investment model, operation management model and performance in Brazil, and analyzed several investment cases of Chinese Enterprises. Associate Prof. Zheng Chunrong upheld the lecture, while Director Feng Yan of Shanghai International Culture Association and Researcher Huhe Narisong of IPPA made comments on the speech. More than 30 teachers and students participated the lecture and communicated with Prof. Hsia Hua Sheng on the issues of Sino-Brazil industry complement, tax burden, labor cost, and etc. The Speech turned out to be a great success.

Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGVEAESP) which Prof. Hsia Hua Sheng is in, is a well-known teaching and researching institute, and the primary think tank in Latin American. This academic exchange promotes the further communication and cooperation between IPPA and Brazil think tank.

Hsia Huang Sheng is an international professional in finance management and specialized in international finance, risk management, merge and transnational corporation entry mode, especially in emerging market. At the same time, he takes the responsibility of researcher and professor in Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGVEAESP) and UNIFESP (Federal University of São Paulo). He also is the vice-coordinator in FGV International Business Research Forum. He graduated from Universidade de São Paulo and holds the Doctor’s Degree in Management and Master’s Degree in Finance. Before joining FGV, Hsia Huang Sheng once took positions in several transitional corporations (Citigroup, Credicard, Votorantim Group) and several financial organizations (Banco Maxima and Tarpon Investment Fund). Hsia Huang Sheng was technical director in two biggest financial risk management companies (MAPS and Luz Engenharia Financeira) in Brazil.
