On the morning of Feb 28, the inaugural meeting of China Social Security Associate was hold in Beijing. Vice-chairman of the 11th NPC Standing Committee Hua Jianmin was elected honorary President, Prof. Zheng Gongcheng from Renmin University of China was elected first President, 9 scholars including our SUFE party secretary Prof. Cong Shuhai were elected vice president, and Prof. Yang Lixiong from Renmin University was elected Secretary-General. 109 people including Ding Yuanzhu were elected council members, and 8 people including Jia Junling were elected honorary council members.
The inaugural meeting was presided by Prof. Cong Shuhai, while vice-chairman of NPC Standing Committee Zhang Baowen, vice-chairman of 11th NPC Standing Committee Hua Jianmin, Director of ministry of Civil Affairs Li Liguo, Director of economic committee of CPPCC Zhang Zuoji, President of China Society of Economic Reform Song Xiaowu, President of Renmin University of China Chen Yulu attended the meeting and gave speeches. The meeting passed working regulations for academic committee, teaching committee, youth committee, founding regulations for sub institutes, and rewarding measures.
Approved by State Council, registered in ministry of civil affairs, consisting by researchers, professionals, and relevant institutes in social security area, China Social Security Associate is a national, academic, non-profit social organization, and it is an academic platform, think tank, and open window in China social security area. The existing members of the Associate reaches 508, which come from more than 130 universities, Chinese Academy of Social Science, and Development Research Center of the State Council, etc.
In the meeting, many of SPEA scholars were elected crucial roles. Prof. Cong Shuhai was elected vice-chairman and executive council member, Guo Shizheng was elected honorary council member, Prof. Yang Cuiying took council member, associate prof. Zheng Chunrong took vice-chairman of youth committee. 14 members are from our SHUFE inculding our SPEA associate Prof. Yu Hong, Doctor Yue Yin, Doctor Zhang Yi, Doctor Cai Chunguang, Doctor Tian Liu, Prof Mao Changxuan from School of Statistics and Management, Associate Prof. Wang Wei from institute of finance and economics, Doctor Liu Changxi from School of Humanities, Associate Prof. Wu Wenfang, Doctor Cao Jingtao from School of Law, showing our remarkable influence in the research area of social security.
