On April 25, the fourth Young Economist Shanghai Salon(YESS), jointly sponsored by IPPA of SUFE, Fudan Lab for China Development Studies(FLDS), Research Center for China Development of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Research Center for Regional and Industrial Development of Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, held in SUFE.
Nearly 100 young economists, from SPEA at SUFE, Institute of Finance and Economics at SUFE, School of Economics at Fudan University, School of International and Public Affairs at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Antai College of Economics and Management at SJTU, School of Economics and Management at Tongji University, School of Economics at Jinan University, School of Commerce at East China Normal University, Institute for Urban Development at East China Normal University, School of Management at University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Institute for International Economics and Trade at Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, School of Finance at Shanghai Lixin University of Commerce, attended the meeting.
The meeting was divided into six academic topics including Financial Economy, Public Economy, Theoretical Economy, Urban Economy, Labor Economy, and Universal Participation. Dean of SPEA MPA Center of SUFE Geng Shu, Dean of Research Center for China Development of SJTU Lu Ming, and Deputy Dean of Fudan Lab for China Development Studies Chen Zhao, are not only the co-initiators of the meeting but also the core members in paper reviewing and on-spot communication.
This Salon provides a fantastic platform for Shanghai young economists. With spontaneous spread in academic society, the meeting attracted lots of attendees and arose numerous opinions. And it was no doubt a great success.
