On the morning of May 31, 2015, SPEA held Teaching Reform Workshop on Public Finance Specialties.Attendees included Deputy Director of SHUFE Academic Department Ling Fang, Liu Hong from Lingnan College of Zhongshan University, Ye Weiling from Business Administration School, and other teachers from SPEA Public Finance department and Taxation department. Prof. Zhu Weiqun presided the workshop.
Deputy Dean Liu Xiaobing introduced the background of this workshop and explained that this workshop is included in the Public Finance Specialties Comprehensive Reform Project. Lin Fang shared and discussed with presented teachers on teaching reform of SHUFE. Liu Hong and Ye Weiling also shared their teaching experience and feelings, and laid emphasis on students’ interests and face-to-face communication. Then teachers from public finance department and taxation department expressed their opinions on teaching styles and methods, teaching management and reform, and exiting problems, and they asked for more flexibility from the school on teaching styles.
Presented teachers all spoke highly of this meeting for they have learned a lot in teaching styles and methods and wished that they could complete the teaching reform with improved teaching ability and better teaching qualities. Prof. Liu Xiaochuan and Prof. Fu Wenlin presented the meeting.
