Co-build, Co-share, and Co-win----SUFE Successfully Holds the First Awarding Ceremony for External Practice Base and External Tutors for Real Estate Department, and the First Real Estate Teaching Reform Advisory Council

On the afternoon of June 10, the First Awarding Ceremony for External Practice Base and External Tutors for Real Estate Department, and the First Real Estate Teaching Reform Advisory Council was successfully held in room 302 in SPEA.



The ceremony was presided by SPEA deputy dean Fang Fang, and leaders and teachers from SUFE, leaders and representatives from 18 external practice base attended the meeting.

At the beginning, Deputy Dean Fang Fang introduced presented guests and SPEA Dean Yu Wei, Deputy Director of Academic Department Fu Chuan, Leader of real estate department Prof. Chen Jie, and Prof. Wang Keqiang gave welcome speeches. Prof. Chen Jie, leader of real estate department, made an introduction of the idea and development of external practice base. Founded in 1994, our real estate department, leaded by Prof. Wang Hongwei and Prof. Yao Lingzhen, ranked national fourth in 2013 and owned good reputation.

In order to improve the quality of trained talent, we actively explore innovative training system and teaching model, initiate various cooperation, set practice base, and fighting for the goal of Co-Build, Co-Share, and Co-Win. In 2015, relied on the practice base, we actively developed practice courses and lectures, conduct external practice for students, and encourage students to attended professional competitions.

Then, followed the awarding ceremony. Deputy Director Fu Chuan issued the certificates to external practice base and Dean Yu Wei issued the certificates to external tutors.



After the issuing ceremony, they took photos together.



After a short tea-break, there came the First Real Estate Talent Training Reform and Innovation Advisory Council. In a friendly atmosphere, our teachers and students had an in-depth and fruitful discuss with external tutors. Deng Haotian, as a student representative, extended his heartfelt thanks and shared his own feeling in daily practice and study.



Then, external tutors also shared their opinions on curriculum setting, development of practice base, and students’ employment.



Curriculum setting and talent training plan were hot topics under discussion. Secretary of Committee for Disciplinary Inspection of Shanghai Institute of Geological Engineering Exploration(SIGEE) Mr. Ma Zhenlu pointed out that, talent training should aim at the improvement of individual’s comprehensive ability with both skills in professional area and knowledge in other industries. Shanghai Europe&America Alumni Association Finance Sub-Association President Ma Ming proposed some good ideas to help the development of practice base, including how to obtain resources, and how to make full use of it. She also pointed out that, students should learn from self practice and therefore be improved in knowledge and skills.



Prof. Chen Jie aroused two questions on students’ employment: whether employer would consider professional background and how could students improve their competitive strength. CEO of Franshion Properties Mr. Tao Tianhai said that professional background matters but it is not a decisive factor. He also said that, the demand for senior talents would be huge in near future. HR Director Chongbang Group Ms. Xing Jie expressed that, they don’t lay emphasis on professional background because SUFE graduates in different majors don’t differ much and technical skills are not hard to grasp in further practice. SPEA alumna and deputy CEO of Shanghai Delvfeng Property Ms. Fang Ying said she had not only learned technical skills but also approaching method which benefit in a lifetime. Other tutors also made their comments in various topics.

Director of Youwin Consulting Mr Huang Zhijian, Deputy President of Shanghai Urban Real Estate Appraisal(SUREA) Ms. Ren Tingzhen, Director of Topsur Consulting Mr. Zhang Hongwei, HR Manager of Shanghai Xufang Group Chen Lihua and some other external tutors shared opinions. Deputy Dean of Shanghai Land Trading Center Mr. Lu Weiming, Secretary of Shanghai Institute of Geological Survey Liu Qingxiang, CEO of Kingpoint Consulting Ling Liangwei and other external practice base representatives attended the awarding ceremony.

The whole meeting lasted for 3 hours and prof. Chen Jie and Prof. Wang Keqiang had warm interaction with those external tutors. At the end, deputy dean Fang Fang made a conclusion that the suggestions were constructive and useful, and wish that we could gain more achievements in future cooperation.
