On July 5 to 10, 2015, the 2015 annual meeting of GCREC, the most influential organization in global Chinese Real Estate academic circle, was solemnly held in Washington. Two Deputy Directors from American Housing and Urban Development Department attended the meeting and gave speeches. Senior Management from World Bank and OECD and Scholars from all over the world joined the academic communication.
On the ceremony of July 8, the Organizing Committee announced that, the paper Uncertainty and Hedging Role of Housing Asset in Consumption, cooperated by Prof. Chen Jie(corresponding author), Associated Prof. Yang Zan(Tsing Hua University) and Fan Yin(PHD Student), won the only special prize from almost 200 papers. The reward is USD 3200 and sponsored by E-House China.
Prof. Chen Jie also attended GCREC committee meeting in July 5 and in the awarding dinner in July 8, he issued the Best Paper Awards on behalf of the editorial department of Journal of Real Estate. The money is also sponsored by E-house China.
Prof. Chen Jie gave reports on 4 papers. SPEA PhD Students Zhou Qian and Liu Xia also gave speeches on their Papers. Associated Prof. Zhang Sisi from Advanced research institute and some undergraduates from SUFE attended the meeting.
