The Second Conference of the First Council of SPEA Alumni Association Holds

On Dec. 18, 2016, the Second Conference of the First Council of SPEA Alumni Association was held in room 302 in phoenix building. Students Life Department Director and Graduate Department Director Shen Hui, SPEA Party Secretary Fang Fang, SPEA Alumni Association President Zhou Weiming, Vice President and General-Secretary Ling Hong and 31 council directors attended the meeting, while Fang Fang Presided the meeting.



The meeting improved Alumni Association Organization Chart Plan and the Regulation revision plan. Council members listened Alumni Association 2016 Working Summary and 2017 Working Plan, and discussed detailed work in next stage. Secretary Fang Fang shared the working experience of Shanghai Jiaotong University 120 Anniversary. The meeting voted and agreed supplementary list of alumni association council, agreed to add the advisory committee and voted Xuan Jiaju as chairman. The meeting confirmed that alumni association concluded Career Development Department, Academic and Public Department, Arts and Sports Department, External Liaison Department.



In the meeting, General Secretary Ling Hong resigned for personal reason. The Executive Council respected his wish and accepted his resignation, and spoke highly of his efforts and contribution in the past year, and wished he could continue to make contribution as vice president. The new candidate of general secretary is undecided.

At last, under the guidance of Professor Zhu Weiqun, council members visited our library and promoted some suggestions.

Alma Mater is alumni’s home and alumni are alma mater’s family. At the very time of SUFE’s Centurial Anniversary, council members said that they would contribute more to publicity and celebrate this big event to expand its social influence.

SPEA Alumni Association would implement work plan, collect Alumni strength, display school culture, coherent alumni emotion, and promote development of both Alumni Association and SPEA.
