——2015-2016 Shanghai Education System March 8th Red Flag Collective
On the afternoon of March 7, 2017, SUFE held an Awarding Ceremony to commemorate the 107th Anniversary of the International Women's Day in the lecture hall on the first floor of the entrepreneurship training center. SPEA student affair office won the title of “2015-2016 Shanghai Education System March 8th Red Flag Collective”, which is another honorary title of our student affair office.

Our school’s student affair office consists of five members, including three women, which accounts for 60% of the office. The office has always been adhering to the principle of "Student - Oriented" to serve students, and has carried out students' work innovatively with the principle of "Educating Students", in order to guide students to establish correct values, life outlook and world outlook, and to help students solve psychological problems and problems encountered in life or study and to guide them to plan their own college life and career. All the members of the office are doing their best to be loyal to teaching, devote d to innovation and cultivated in education and dedicate their enthusiasm and youth to the student work.

Diligent in working, willing to give contribution, shaping outstanding collective
Strengthening awareness of education, better serve students
Every member of the student affair office of SPEA integrates the principle of “Educating Students” in their work all the time. They pay attention to service consciousness, active consciousness and innovation consciousness, and cooperate with each other, learn from each other to ensure smoothness and order of the student work. During the process of student management, they determine the dominant role of students, actively establish the concept of cultural education, and fully respect students' initiative, autonomy and consciousness. Through the organization of class meetings, League activities, class cadre meetings, party secretary meetings, dormitory supervisor meeting and individual discussion, student affair office examine the ideological situation of students by starting from the details and then get close to students to understand their thoughts and needs. Through conventional education, management and service, they promote ideological education work from all angles, so as to turn the whole process of ideological and political education into the process of guiding students to gain self-awareness and to do self-discovery, self-evaluation, self-selection, self-development and self-improvement.
Strengthening student management, standardizing working process
The student affair office carries out scientific management on the important parts of student work and strengthens the supervision on the basis of years of working experience. For example, for the scholarship selection, there are corresponding school selection methods; for innovation and entrepreneurship management, there are also SPEA undergraduate research activities incentives, which is used to regulate and reward student research activities. There are corresponding processes and methods for incidents happened to students. These management mechanisms not only guarantee the quality of the work of the office, but also promote teachers to constantly adjust the working methods with their practical work experience and the different characteristics of students, so as to link their working experience with students’ characteristics and improve working efficiency.
Counselors’ joint efforts have also achieved good results: Student affair office won the title of Jingguo Civilization Post of SUFE in 2013, and won the title of March 8th Red Flag Collective of SUFE in 2014. Every members of the office have also received a variety of honorary titles of SUFE includes: “Top Ten Counselors”, “Excellent Counselors”, “Advanced Individual of Student Affair”, “School Awards” and etc. Their students have also won the honorary titles of Shanghai and SUFE “Red Flag League Branch” for many times.

Working together to create a harmonious atmosphere
Every member of the 5 counselors of SPEA student affair office is responsible for a grade, which consists of approximately 260 students each. Counselors need to manage and guide the student in the aspects of living, learning, employment, psychological condition, which is a large workload. At the same time, every counselor is also responsible for the work of party building, league building, scholarship, grant and loan, innovation and entrepreneurship section and other sections, which is complicated and trivial work. In particular, in recent years, the office has been in a situation of shortage of staff. In order to ensure the smooth progress of student work, every one of the office showed a strong sense of responsibility, unity and cooperation. They help each other and take the initiative to devote their enthusiasm and responsibility to of the work of students, and ensure the smooth completion of student work.
In addition, the atmosphere of the office is harmonious and friendly. They not only cooperate with each other in working, but also pay attention to shaping the group image and lifting the overall quality of the collective. They are of different major and are good at different aspects of work. They will meet regularly to exchange their working experiences, declare projects, complete projects and strengthen their training and research in their own field of specialization. By the year of 2016, four members of the office have the professional title of lecturer, three members of the office have the academic title of Shanghai Intermediate Career Counselor, and two members of the office obtain the Shanghai Intermediate Psychological Counselor qualification. They participate in the teaching of the first class, such as the situation and policy, mental health education etc., which won good response from students. They care about and understand each other, solve difficulties together, share the joy together and have centripetal force and sense of collective consciousness.
Courage to innovate, fruitful student activities
Although every member of the student affair office has rich work experience, they don’t stuck to the conventions or being rigid. In particular, as the characteristics of the students group change continuously---from the post-80s to the post-90s, they have been constantly exploring and innovating, seeking more suitable working method for the current student group.
Innovating means of education, making full use of new media to educate
As students use new media to communicate with each other, counselors also use a variety of new media to carry out publicity, such as Fetion, public platforms and groups of WeChat etc., which have achieved good effect. Each counselor has applied for a public platform on WeChat for students of different grades, which is use to communicate and send information to students. The online class on E-class is also effectual and students have a high degree of participation. For example, the public platform on WeChat of the student union not only propagandizes student activities, but also achieves interaction, such as voting and sharing. The platform of our school is of high degree of concern and wide coverage. Not only students but also many teachers are concerned about this platform. During the voting for teachers before the graduation party of our school, there are more than 100 people involved. The platform has become an important window for propagandizing student activities.
Setting an example to create a good atmosphere for scientific research and innovation
Our school encourages students to actively participate in various academic activities and scientific research and innovation activities. Our school uses the rich academic research resources and strengthens publicity to stimulate students to understand the academic and inspire their enthusiasm in participating in academic activities. At the same time, through our school's second classroom construction and student union’s activities, we increase support for academic lectures and academic research, and effectively inspire students’ enthusiasm to participate in these activities. While encouraging students to participate in scientific research and innovation, counselors themselves set an example to the students that they don’t relax themselves in academic research. Every year, counselors actively apply for the subject of school Shanghai, and participate in the hosting of schools’ “Science and humanity Forum”. In 2014, counselors of the office jointly declared a project of SUFE Siyan Seminar, and they also participated in the project of practice research of moral education in schools of Shanghai and published a number of research papers. They actively participate in various professional skills training and enhance their own abilities.
In the aspects of students, our school has organized students to participate in innovation and entrepreneurship training program from 2014 to 2016, the number of projects amounted to more than 30 annually and a number of projects were excellent. Our students participated in the Challenge Cup Competition in 2014, and won two Silver Prizes, two Bronze Prizes of Shanghai, and a national silver medal in the National Challenge Cup Competition. In 2015, students to continue to play well in the Challenge Cup Competition, and won a first prize, two second prizes of Shanghai. The work of graduate Zhu Wanglin and other students--- “Will replacing business vat reformation cause tax and profits change reversely? - Based on the survey of 147 cultural enterprises in Shanghai”---won the first prize national wide.
Our school also continually organizes students to attend the Deloitte Tax Elite Competition. Our school has taken part in the Deloitte Tax Elite Competition in the representation of our college since 2004, and has won four championships in 2004, 2011, 2014 and 2015 respectively, and has already entered the finals in 2016.

In addition, students have achieved fruitful results in the competition of various disciplines, such as the first prize in 2013 National Mathematical Competition for college students, the first prize in 2013 National Open English Debate, the national first prize in 2015 National English Contest for college students, the national first prize, second prize and third prize in 2016 National English Contest for college students and the third prize in 2016 English Ability Competition for college students.
Using social practice and volunteer activities as the platform for deepen the effect of the second class education
Combining with current affairs, innovating school’s brand projects, enriching content and enhancing the impact
Strengthen the exploration and enrichment of the connotation of our school’s brand activities, and expand the impact. For example, the activity “Perspective of the week” is now the eleventh from 2004 onwards. This activity concerns about social hot spots, and guide students to explore social issues, which won a good response both inside and outside the school. In the development of the activities, the student affair office continue to innovate the form of activities, and combine the activities with the form of roadshow, debate, social investigation, scenario simulation, quality development and other students preferred forms of activities, which have also achieved good results. For example, the 2016 “Perspective of the week” adopted the theme of “Patriotism in Heart•China Dream”, showing the Chinese regional customs and traditional cultures, so as to promote the socialist core values of prosperity, civility and harmony. In 2011, this activity won the outstanding achievements of campus culture construction of the Ministry of Education, and accomplished the establishment and approval of the college students’ ideological and political education innovation demonstration project of SUFE, and was also named the SUFE campus cultural activities boutique project.

In addition, another schools’ brand activity "Face to Face with the Principal" starts the class from 2013, aiming at building a communication platform for principals and students to communicate face to face, so that students can have in-depth understanding of the principal and school. This activity was held four times, and invited President Professor Fan Liming, vice President Professor Sun Zheng, vice President Professor Fang Hua and vice President Professor Yao Lingzhen respectively, which get a good response from students.

Rich student activities, striking results
From 2013 onwards, our school held four graduation parties with the theme of “Phoenix Bloom, Blooming the Future”, wining the unanimous recognition of teachers and students. School’s graduation party reviews the four years spent with classmates and their cultivation and harvest. At the same time, the graduation party merges the sense of thanksgiving, dedication, service and other spirit into the party’s programs, and expresses affection towards students and teachers through the party. The party also expresses school and teachers’ sincere wishes and expectations towards students, and leaves students with deep memory of the university life.

In addition, our school enhances the overall quality and relevant skills through the league school, party school and other activities. Besides, there are also Yuelin Cup singer contest, three-school dancing party, morning style person morning exercise, directed cross county activities, dormitory culture designing competition, travel notes activities etc., which have not only enriched students' lives, but also enhanced everyone’s ability and quality. Our league won the honorary titles of “Outstanding Student Union”, “Standard League Organization” and “Outstanding Volunteer Team”, and won the title of Shanghai “May 4th Characteristic League”.
