At 6:30 pm of March 14, SPEA Alumni Association held an academic lecture named cross dimension--industry breakthrough of cultural creative in new era, a public lecture to celebrate SUFE’s 100th anniversary in the enterprise incubation center. The theme of this lecture was cross dimension--industry breakthrough of cultural creative in new era. It was our honor to invite Dr. Yuan Yue, the president of Horizon Research Consultancy Group and PhD in Sociology to be the speaker of this lecture. He told us about the concept, current status and future development of cross dimension in China. And many alumni and students listened to Mr. Yuan Yue's speech.
First of all, Mr. Yuan Yue told us that the word, cross dimension, was created by himself. While two dimensions form a plane, it is called cross dimension when two dimensions transform from the virtual world to the reality. The cross dimension undergoes a process from 2.5 dimensions to three dimensions. In the era of three dimensions, the dimensional culture is reflected in the full space products, such as new residential units, new communities, restaurants, cafes and other thematic space, as well as chain cross-dimension sales stores.
Mr. Yuan Yue told us that the cross-dimension cultural performance products were animations, comics, games and fiction. The crowd of current cross-dimension culture are mainly two-dimension models, two-dimension online communities and two-dimension cosplay party. With times changing, the dimension is now traveling from the edge to the mainstream to get access to more space and visual opportunities. Mr. Yuan Yue analyzed the cross-dimensional development of China, the United States, Korea and Japan in turn, which are four large cross-dimensional countries. And he believed that the quantity of related products of Chinese dimension was large, but the quality was not high. However, he is very optimistic about the prospects of Chinese cross dimension, and he predicts that China will have its own sub-culture, rather than imitating Korea and Japan in the next five years. Shanghai as one of the first-tier cities of Chinese cross dimension is worthy of expectation. In addition, Mr. Yuan Yue said that China lacked practical basis without a teacher of the cross dimension. However, colleges and universities have opened e-economics specialty, which will become more popular in the future. Mr. Yuan Yue also put forward a novel view, that is, the destruction of the internet addiction was the same as persecuting the medieval scientists. In fact, he believes that people seldom have real love on things nowadays, while people’s addiction on games is out of real love. At the end, Mr. Yuan Yue pointed out that dimension had given a major shot in arm to the past virtual and realistic ideas and dimension was the most revolutionary symbolic sign to measure the new generational differences.
At the next Q&A part, Mr. Yuan Yue listened to the students’ questions carefully and gave detailed answers to the questions, including the channel of the dimension, the influence that Korea limitation policy has on the development of Chinese cross-dimension development and so on. Mr. Yuan Yue also donated books to the students and built discussion groups for further discussion.
Through this lecture, Mr. Yuan Yue expressed his pity of the lack of domestic cross-dimension designers, as well as his positive attitude to the development of domestic cross-dimension cultural industries. Students not only got deeper understanding of the cross dimension and felt Mr. Yuan Yue’s love of cross dimension, but also harvested a lot of novel different views. At the end of the lecture, Fang Fang, the secretary of the Party committee of SPEA took a photo with Mr. Yuan Yue, and issued him the certificate of SPEA External Tutor. The lecture ended successfully.
