On the afternoon of March 21, the SPEA Public Finance and Taxation discipline construction and development plan evaluation meeting was held in Room 202 in Phoenix Building. SPEA Dean Professor Liu Xiaobing presided the meeting while Fudan University Professor Du Li, Associate Professor Sun Lin, Shanghai Customs College Professor Li Jiuling, SUFE Finance School Professor Liu Liya attended the evaluation. SUFE Library Director and Taxation Dept. Dean Professor Zhu Weiqun, Public Finance Dept. Dean Associate Professor Zeng Junping made reports.
The reports summarized current status of discipline construction, pointed out basic guidance, ideas and goals, discussed training specification, scale, faculty, scheme, curriculum, and academy, and introduced leadership, management system, self assessment, and fund investment. The two departments agreed that, we should maintain exiting talent training scale, aim at pursuing Public Spirit, and cultivate top talent with unity of Public rationality and market awareness, liberal education and personality, basic theory and skills, humanities and health. The expert team had fierce discussion and carefully reviewed the discipline construction and development plan.
The expert team agreed that the plans of disciplines of Public Finance and Taxation have accurate location, clear target and feasible ideas. At the same time, they suggest that the plan of Public Finance should add analysis on planing reference, international measures, and improve curriculum system, while the plan of Taxation should refine investment security measures, add faculty development and experimental construction, and improve teaching method. Our Public Finance and Taxation Discipline Construction and Development Plan successfully passed the expert evaluation.
