SPEA Deputy Dean Wang Feng elects SCPA Executive Director

The American Society for Public Administration(ASPA) held its annual conference in every March. The ASPA is the largest and most important professional association in public administration. ASPA's 2017 Annual Conference, the 77 th in the history, took place on March 16-21 in Atlanta, jointly organized by Georgia Institute of Technology, bringing together thousands of  professionals, scholars and officers, and centered around the theme “Saluting the Public Service: A Bold and Noble Profession”. This conference contains more than 100 topics and more than 20 each day. Besides, it elected the next ASPA board members, while Janice Lachance was elected the new president for 2017-2018.

 



Two SPEA scholars attended the conference. SPEA Deputy Dean Wang Feng was elected SCPA Executive Director. In the SCPA Annual Working Conference, Doctor Wang Feng introduced SUFE Permanent Rail System, and welcomed presenters to join our SPEA. Besides, she gave speech on Do Private Neighborhood Associations Affect Civic Participation? An Empirical Study of China’s Homeowner Associations in the group meeting of Analyzing the Power of Citizens across Country and Institutional Contexts: A Trojan Horse or Dead Horse?, and received highly interest and recognition.

 


SPEA Professor Deng Shulian gave speech on Fiscal Transparency and in Chinese Provincial Levels: The Dynamic Interactions in Collaborative Governance in the group meeting of Collaborative Governance Networks: Accountability and Intercooperability. Her speech arose great interest from presented scholars. They raised sharp questions, conducted heated discuss and promote precious suggestions. The host of this group meeting and Harrisburg Academy of the Pennsylvania State University Associate Professor Ran Bing showed interest on further study cooperated with the author.
