Hitotsubashi University Professor Shinji Yamashige Visits SPEA

Professor Shinji Yamashige visited SPEA during March 28 and 29, 2017. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University, and currently teaches in School of International and Public Policy in Hitotsubashi University. He mainly studies Population and Social Security Policy in Japan and published several essays in Journal of Public Economics.

 


During his visit, Professor Shinji Yamashige brought an academic lecture on Aging Population and Japanese Social Security System on March 28. His lecture explained profound theory in a simple way and received enthusiastic respond from SPEA students.

 


On March 29, SPEA Dean Liu Xiaobing, Deputy Dean Wang Feng, Zhang Yi and Hui Jin received Professor Shinji Yamashige. SPEA holds academic exchange every year with School of International and Public Policy of Hitotsubashi University since 2011. With a large demand of cross-discipline talent, both parties agreed to conduct multi-dimensional cooperation to develop new method of cross-discipline talent training. Both parties had in-depth talk on exchange, lectures, teaching and academy, expanded the thought for further cooperation, and reached agreements.
