The 2017 IAC Member Meeting was held in Jingxi Hotel in Beijing on March 25. The Meeting elected the president, vice president, general secretary, legal person, directors, and executive directors of the fifth session of the Council. Some influential officers and authoritative experts like NDRC Deputy Director Ning Jizhe made reports on economic situation in the meeting.
SUFE Planning and Development Department Director and SPEA Investment Professor Ying Wangjiang and SPEA Investment Department Director Professor Chen Jie were invited to present this meeting. Professor Ying Wangjiang and Investment Department PhD Supervisor Professor Wang Hongwei were elected executive directors for the IAC new council while SPEA Party Secretary and Investment Department Associate Professor Fang Fang and Professor Chen Jie were elected directors.
The Investment Association of China(IAC) sets Investment Discipline Construction Commission, also known as the Investments Committee of China(ICC). Professor Ying Wangjiang and Investment Department PhD Supervisor Professor Wang Hongwei were elected ICC vice presidents, Party Secretary Fang Fang was elected ICC vice general secretary, Party Secretary Fang Fang, Professor Wang Hongwei, Professor Ying Wangjiang and Professor Chen Jie were elected executive directors and Investment Department Associate Professor Liu Wei was elected director.
The IAC, registered with the ministry of civil affairs, being national social association with legal person qualification, supervised by National Development and Reform Commission, is authoritative and comprehensive association in China’s Investment and Construction area.
In 2000, according to the spirit of related documents, the former National Development Planning Commission made a decision to merge China Fixed Assets Investment and Construction Society founded in 1980 and Investment Association of China founded in 1995, and held member meeting in Feb 17, 2001 to establish the new IAC, in which the NDPC former deputy director and consultant Chen Guangjian was elected President. The current President of IAC is NDRC Investment Division former Director Yang Qingwei.
The IAC sets ICC, which consists of experts in teaching and research on investment and related areas from national institutions of higher education and academic research. The ICC insists in integrating theory with practice, focuses on the construction and development of investment discipline, promotes the related work of talent training, academic research, investigation and instruction, and consulting service. Its main task is to promote the construction and development of investment discipline in China’s higher institutes. Through organizing discipline construction seminar, research result reporting meeting, and teaching achievement exchange meeting, the ICC aims to improve talent training quality and academic research level of investment discipline, and promote the academic and teaching cooperation among ICC directors and their organizations.
SPEA professors take crucial roles in IAC and ICC, which fully showed the leading position of SPEA Investment Department in the area of investment discipline.
