On April 16, 2017, the Second Time of the First Session Council Meeting of SPEA Alumni Association was held in room 302 of Phoenix Building. SPEA Dean Liu Xiaobing, SPEA Party Secretary Fang Fang, SPEA Alumni Association President Zhou Weiming, and 90+ council members presented the meeting, while SPEA Party Secretary Fang Fang hosted the meeting.
The meeting started with SPEA Dean Liu Xiaobing’s Speech, in which he introduced school characteristics, specialty orientation, and Alumni feelings. SPEA Alumni Association President Zhou Weiming made summary on 2016 Alumni work, introduced and awarded outstanding contributors and Alumni activists, and announced improving plan of Alumni Structure in 2017 work plan. The meeting unanimously passed the by-election of Secretary General and the supplement of Vice President, Vice Secretary General, Standing Directors and Directors.
In the meeting, the council members discussed in groups, exchanged their ideals, and shared suggestions for Alumni work. On the site, they also interacted with online alumni trough Wechat Group. When the background picture that Melody Wu was honored SPEA Alumni Outstanding Contributor appeared, the Wechat Group of SUFE Humanity Reading Group was flooded with flowers, congratulations and Likes.
As Secretary Fang Fang expressed, at the time of the 100 th anniversary of SUFE, with the understanding and support from alumni, SPEA Alumni Association should effectively implement the work plan, further display SPEA culture and gather alumni feelings, and promote the mutual improvement of alumni career and school construction.
