On the morning of May 19, the China Health Economics Association(CHEA) held its General Election Conference and the Eighth General Assembly Meeting in Shiji Jinyuan Hotel in Beijing. The Former Ministry of Health Policy and Regulation Department Director and CHEA Vice President Liu Xinming and National Health and Family Planning Commission Health Development Study Center Honorary Director and New Secretary General Zhang Zhenzhong hosted the meeting while the seventh council president and SUFE China Public Finance Institute President Gao Qiang made conference speech. The eighth council president Rao Keqin made new president inauguration speech.
The meeting deliberated and approved The Seventh CHEA Council Working Report, The CHEA Regulation Draft Amendment, and The CHEA Fee Standard; the meeting elected the eighth CHEA Council; held the eighth Council first session member meeting, and elected the eighth executive council, president, vice president, secretary general; held the eighth council first session executive council meeting.
In the meeting, China Medical Association Vice President and Secretary General Rao Keqin was elected the eighth CHEA President and SPEA Dean Professor Liu Xiaobing the Vice President.
The eighth CHEA Vice Presidents include the Former Ministry of Health Policy and Regulation Department Director Liu Xinming, National Health and Family Planning Commission Health Development Study Center Honorary Director Zhang Zhenzhong, State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine Vice Director Wang Zhiyong, National Health and Family Planning Commission Finance Department Ombudsman He jinguo, National School of Development at Peking University Professor Li Ling, Social development institute of State Council Development Research Center Director Ge Yanfeng, Health Department of Peking University Assistant Dean Wu Ming, Peking University Renmin Hospital Director Wang Shan, Anhui Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission Director Yu Dezhi, National Health and Family Planning Commission Health Development Study Center Director Fu Wei, Beijing Health and Family Planning Commission Director Lei Haichao, and PLA Health Economics Association President Liu Lihua. The Secretary General and Legal representative was taken by National Health and Family Planning Commission Health Development Study Center Honorary Director Professor Zhang Zhenzhong.
In addition, the meeting elected 85 executive council members including SPEA Dean Liu Xiaobing and Professor Yu Wei; and elected 265 council members including SPEA Dean Liu Xiaobing, Professor Yu Wei, Professor Li Hua, Professor Yang Cuiying, Professor Wang Jun(National Health Institute Visiting Professor).
The China Health Economics Association(CHEA) is a national academical and non-profitable social organization consisting by corporate, institutes, social groups and personnel in health economics. It was founded in 1983, which was the first stage of our reform and opening up, and has a development history of 33 years so far. It has 12 sub-branches, and was instructed and supervised by National Health and Family Planning Commission and Ministry of Civil Affairs, which is the social group registration administration department.
