On August 11, the National Course Teaching Meeting on China’s Taxation System, initiated by SPEA and co-organized by National MT Teaching and Instruction Committee, was held in room 302 in phoenix building.
This meeting attracted the participation of more than 60 front-line teachers from 34 universities. The teachers came from 985 universities like Fudan University, Xiamen University and Nankai University, Financial Universities like Central University of Finance and Economics, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Shangdong University of Finance and Economics, Jilin University of Finance and Economics, Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics and Nanjing University of Finance and Economics, Regional Universities like Hebei University, Henan University, and Qingdao University, having broad representation and highly participation. The participated teachers have had in-depth discussion on various issues on the course construction of China’s Taxation System, and more than 40 teachers shared lectures.
SPEA Dean Professor Liu Xiaobing made welcome speech on behalf of SPEA, and spoke highly of the pioneering meaning of this meeting. Library Curator and SPEA Taxation Department Director Professor Zhu Weiqun, as the initiator and organizer, made introduction of the meeting’s background, purpose and process, as well as the meeting rules.
In the morning, the meeting was presided by professor Zhu Weiqun and Xiamen University Professor Tong Jingzhi. Presented teachers discussed on the issues of course construction, breadth and depth of teaching contents, and general teaching methods. Capital University of Economics and Business Professor Yun, Nankai University Professor Rao Youling, Jilin University of Finance and Economics Professor Zhang Song, and Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics Professor Chen Rong made introduction of their course statues and characteristics on China’s Taxation System. Shandong University of Finance and Economics Professor Pan Mingxing, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics Professor Wang Chunlei and Associate Professor Jin Zhe gave lectures on teaching breadth and depth. Presented teachers also discussed on cross-course contents and multi-level contents, and shared feelings on case using, role play, knowledge map, and rule summary.
In the afternoon, the meeting was presided by Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics Professor Chen Rong and Jilin University of Finance and Economics Professor Zhang Song. Presented teachers talked on interactive teaching method, attendance and assessment, and resource sharing method. Anhui University of Finance and Economics Associate Professor Cui Zhikun shared experience on improve teaching and learning initiative using inverted classroom, Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics Professor Wu Liqun promoted cooperative teaching model of embedded information literacy education relied on library resource, Fudan University Associate Professor Xu Ye introduced assessment method considering project research and interactive performance, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics Yang Xiaomeng talked on ruling-by-law thought and professional ethics education, while Nanjing University of Finance and Economics Professor Zhang Xiulian talked on attendance rules that being moderate strict, which received widely resonance and recognition from presented teachers.
Presented teachers actively respond to the promotion of establishing China’s Taxation System Course teaching and cooperation National Coalition, spoke highly of the meaning of establishing China’s Taxation System National Exercise Database, and extended the wish for cooperation and sharing. Higher Education Press Shanghai BU Deputy Director Liu Zihui expressed their wish to support on platform construction, fund guarantee and follow-up service.
The meeting ended successfully. Presented teachers spoke highly of the initiative meaning, effective organization, considerate service, and academic value, which benefited them a lot, and wished that this kind of teaching exchange activities could be held more. The former SAT Carder Academy President and current Central University of Finance and Economics Tax Education Scientific Research Institute Director Mr. Jia Shaohua made comment that this meeting, “gathered numerous elites for collective lesson preparation, which pioneered tax education scientific research.
