The SPEA Opening Ceremony for 2017 MPA students was held solemnly on Sept. 9 to 10. To further manifest our people-oriented philosophy, we held quality development activity and the whole ceremony was divided into two stages.
On Sept. 9, all the 2017 MPA students registered in room 302 in phoenix building and attended quality development.
This activity, taped students’ potential, improved students’ confidence, elevated students’ awareness of group and responsibility, shaped team vitality, promoted students’ communication and exchange and facilitated group development.
On the morning of Sept. 10, the ceremony was solemnly held in the floor 1 Lecture Hall in Entrepreneurship Center. Graduate School Executive Deputy Dean Xu Longbing, SPEA Dean Liu Xiaobing, Deputy Dean Fu Wenlin, Wang Feng, the former Hongkou district CPPCC president Guan Weiyong, MPA Center Dean Yu Wei, MPA International Affairs Dean Li Huiping, teacher representatives Ye Fangjin, Jiang Shuoliang, Tang Guijuan, Mi Jeong Shin, Sung Min Han, alumni representative Lin Shanshan, student representative Yu Jiuyi, fresh representative Xiang Beiyi and 119 fresh students attended the ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by SPEA deputy dean Fu Wenlin.
SUFE SPEA Dean Professor Liu Xiaobing and Graduate School Executive Deputy Dean Xu Longbing made speeches respectively. They introduced general status of SPEA and graduate school, analyzed our positioning of MPA talent training, together with the goal and direction of MPA teaching, welcomed fresh students and promoted wishes of applying book knowledge. The former Hongkou district CPPCC president Guan Weiyong, teacher representative Tang Guijuan also expressed their congratulations to the fresh.
2016 MPA Graduate student representative Lin Shanshan, 2015 student representative Yu Jiuyi, 2017 fresh representative Xiang Beiyi made speeches respectively. Lin Shanshan expressed the heartfelt gratitude to SUFE, SPEA and teachers, and shared her experience on paper writing. Xiang Beiyi expressed her honor to join SUFE, and will insist on school motto”be virtuous and learned, and make contribution to the society”, respect teachers, help classmates, and reward teachers with more excellent results.
At last, the ceremony was ended with the introduction of MPA international certification program by MPA Center Dean Professor Yu Wei.
This ceremony lasted for two days, setting good examples for the fresh, promoting students’ learning initiative, enhancing students’ team awareness, deepening mutual understanding, and providing solid basis for future educational work.
