The specialty of national economics is available for post-graduate and doctorate programs.
1. Objectives of the programs:
Programs of this specialty call for a comprehensive and systematic master of basic theories in Marxist economics, a profound familiarity with the theories and analytical method of the major schools in Western economics. Students should have broad knowledge of national economics and investment economics and constantly keep track of today's economy and investment trends and be aware of the most up-dated academic development of theories in the discipline; understand the major theoretical and practical issues in China's socialist modernization; should be able to read original literature and works and also have good speaking proficiency in a foreign language; on which basis, able to write high quality, innovative doctorate dissertations with domestic and international relevance for both practical and academic reference.
Students in the program should become senior experts competent and honest with solid knowledge of economics theories, who are able to engage in theoretical and practical works independently. Degree recipients are qualified to accomplish research and teaching works in the field of national economics and investment economics, or engaged in project decision-making, management and research in practical business units.
