On 29th August, Mr. Kees van Rooijen, the director of master program at Institute for Housing and Urban Development (HIS) in Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam visited our school. The dean, Professor Yu Wei and the Vice-Dean, Professor Wan Fang welcomed Kees van Rooijen.
The Dean, Professor Yu firstly welcomed Mr. Kees van Rooijen and briefly introduced the current state of discipline structure, and teaching and scientific research of our school. The dean Yu indicated that our school has been positively engaged in exploring how to run the Chinese-foreign cooperative education institution in terms of the real estate and land resources management major. Currently, our school, Baruch College and City University of New York cooperatively ran the bachelor program of real estate development and management major. Mr. Yu proposed that HIS and SHFE can cooperate in double degree program in terms of real estate related major. The double degree program could include international exchange, doctor education, teachers exchange visits, and scientific research, etc.
Mr. Van Rooijen agreed with the proposal, and briefly introduced the HIS’s experience of the Chinese-foreign cooperative education institution operation. After the conference, the dean Yu suggest that HIS and SHFE can have in-depth discussion regarding to double degree program in the near future, in order to discuss the discipline structure and marketing promotion.
