On the afternoon of 28th April, 2016, 8th Career Plan Month series activity, “Job Hunting Skills Simulation and Company Selection” career tutoring workshop was held successfully in room 502, Phoenix Building. Mr. Tao Qi, CHO of Fast East Leasing Co., Ltd. was invited to give students a remarkable career tutoring lecture.

In the first place, Mr. Tao briefly introduced the process of campus recruitment, the measurement of talent selection and common formation of interview. After that, he led students to practise immediately according to two most common interview formation, “Short Speech” and “Leaderless Group Discussion”.

In the section of “Five-minute Speech, every student came to the platform in turn and carried on five-minute keynote speech by drawing lots. Students expressed their viewpoints in the speech based on economic and social issues, such as “Escaping Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou”, “Research-oriented Universities”, “Sustaining Anti-corruption”, “Man-machine Simulation” and “Mixed Operation in Financial Industry”. Mr. Tao commented on students’ performance and gave instructions in terms of their appearance, fluency and logicality, psychology and initiative and self-confidence and pressure resistance.

In the end of this lecture, Mr. Tao also recommended some skills and several helpful tools in choosing occupation in CV writing, psychology adjustment and test-taking skills. He hoped that students would explore the unknown world and gather experience continuously. He encouraged all to choose the occupation according to their interests, ability and opportunities which depend on one’s accumulation of knowledge and experience.

By attending this career tutoring workshop, students had a more direct and clear understanding to recruitment. They also have a more comprehensive and deeper knowing about their ability and personality. Their job hunting skills and abilities were improved. All of students on scene obtained huge benefits.
