On the evening of 25th May, the 5th “I am with President Face to Face” series activity, which hosted by sub Youth League Committee and Student Union of SPEA, was held in the Lecture Hall on the first floor of administrative building. Vice President, Mrs. Yao Lingzhen presented the report of “The International Development of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and over 100 students attended this activity.

Mrs. Yao Lingzhen began with the process of international development of our school, then introduced the main ideas and features of internationalization in each phase of school’s development. Later, she applied plentiful materials and concise data to present the effects of international development of our school in terms of teaching faculty system, discipline reputation, and talent training. She also elaborated the cooperation pathway in training internationalization student, construction of English speaking courses and overseas students’ education from the aspects of internationalization talents training idea, model and path. At last, Mrs. Yao referred the direction of the school’s international development in the future and encouraged students to have a look at such a great world outside their comfort zone. On top of that, she shared her own experience in study and work. She expressed deep hope to students’ study and development according to her thoughts and feelings of life, which brought students profound insights.

Centered on this topic, three guest students and students presenting carried on all-round and deep communication with Mrs. Yao in terms of programs of studying abroad, 3+2 united education program with overseas university, election of foreigner teachers, examination and management, credit assertion when studying abroad and preparation for exchange program. Mrs. Yao answered them one by one and raised practical suggestions for their life and study, which benefitted them a lot.

At the end of this activity, students presented Mrs. Yao with sketch portrait to acknowledge their gratitude and wishes for Mrs. Yao.
