In the afternoon of 5th December, 2013 SHUFE Carrefour Grants Donation Ceremony was held in the meeting room 202 of Phoenix Building. Secretary of general Party branch of SPEA, Mr. Shen Hui, Head of Tax Department, Mr. Zhu Weiqun, Vice-President and CFO of Carrefour-China, Mu Lin, Director of Tax Administration of Carrefour-China, Wu Dongming, Director of Accounting Department of Carrefour-China, Qiu Jinsong and students who gained grants attended this ceremony. Vice-secretary of general Party branch of SPEA Fang Hui hosted this ceremony.
Mr. Shen Hui gave the speech on behalf of SPEA. He gave a brief introduction of SHUFE and SPEA. He expressed deep gratitude for the support for training talents in SPEA from Carrefour and best wish that both sides would co-operate and development further in the future. At the same time, he raised high expectation for those who gained the grants that they can cherish this opportunity and study harder to repay society by action.
Mr. Zhu read out the names of ten grant-aided students and introduced their situation. The class of 2013 student Gao Jiaqi studying Tax and Fu Zhenghao studying Labor and Social Security gave speeches on behalf of all the grant-aided students. They introduced their own family backgrounds and expressed the gratitude of gaining the grants and promised to have it fair use. They would cherish this hard-won opportunity for study and be self-reliant. They would not let university and society down.
Vice-President and CFO of Carrefour-China, Mu Lin gave the speech on behalf of the donors. Mr. Mu introduced the Carrefour’s development process, corporate culture, and public farewell activities they participated. He emphasized that the establishment of this grant program aimed to motivate needy students to study diligently, be active to progress and he also thanked the SHUFE for giving them this chance.
At last, leaders of Carrefour made warm communication with the students and the donation ceremony ended in a warm and sweet atmosphere.
