On the evening of 28th April, 2016, two alumni of SPEA, Miss Yan Lan, Senior CFO of Northern Asian Branch, Unilever, and Mr. Shen Yizhou, deputy chief of Dept. of Risk Control, Taxation Risk Analysis, Monitor and Control Center, Shanghai Tax Bureau, were invited to bring students the career tutoring lecture of “Career to Propriety, Reading to Fairness”. The lecture took place in room 302, Phoenix Building and over 80 students attended.
Miss Yan Lan gave the speech on “Making Reading to Your Habit” based on the tax program. She hoped students to insist on learning, to know the changing of information about their own fields. She also took some business books as examples and suggested students to know rules about various industry in a wide range. This can help students improve their ability and broaden their horizons.
Mr. Shen Yizhou made a very warm communication with students on the topic of science fiction which is familiar to students. After he introduced a series of well-known novelists and their master works, he shared some authors and poets who were highly spoken world-wide. He hoped students to read the books that not only are helpful to our study, work and life, but also can rise our own interests and make us joy both mentally and physically.
The lecture ended in a very warm atmosphere and students benefited a lot. Alumni came to give students advice by using their own experience. This vivid lecture pointed out a direction of reading habit and career life for students.
