On the evening of 24th April, 2016, “I Will Be My Own Master of My Career” graduate students workplace characters salon was held in room 304. Three representative postgraduate students of 2016 who have already got the job were invited to be the guests to have face-to-face communication with postgraduate students on campus. The activity attracted over 70 students.

Three guests shared their own career plan and their job hunting experience respectively. Zhou Shiwei stated his splendid experience of study and career. He was the graduate of science and engineering in his undergraduate program. Then he entered the postgraduate school and studied assets appraisal which was a different program from his undergraduate degree. During his postgraduate time, he worked as intern in China Securities Research and Noah Wealth Management Center. He gave up the offer of Noah Wealth Management Center but chose the way to open his own business finally. Chen Wenbin, who had the experience of GF Securities Co., Ltd. Internship and internship of Dept. of Capital Market in Guotai Junan Securities. He now is the staff of Shanghai Baoling Investment Co., Ltd. He deeply analyzed his self-positioning and career plan as a trader. Yang Cheng who signed with China Securities Research gave students who are willing to develop in investment bank valuable suggestions according to his internship experience in “Big Four” and security company.

Students on scene asked questions about their career plan and puzzles in the process of job hunting and communicated with the three guests actively. Guests shared own experience, inspiration and feeling and gave critical and feasible countermeasures without reservations.

Students then communicated with guests freely in the end. The activity ended in a good atmosphere. This salon presented wonderful job hunting experience sharing as well as active career plan discussion. Students had a deep communication basing on postgraduate students career plan. This activity provided students with useful skills and valuable information and was highly spoken among students.
