On 19th April 2016, the 2014 alumni of SUFE, founder of “Waixingren” Internet Technology Co. Ltd., Miss Wang Shiqi was invited to give a career tutoring lecture of ‘Learn from Frontline Big Cast Who Started Their Own Business in the Field of Internet’ to the students. The lecture was held in room 302 in Phoenix Building and nearly 80 students came to this lecture.
At the beginning of the lecture, Miss Wang Shiqi shared her experience and feeling of her starting business. She loves activity planning management, so she chose to start business with her friends after she worked a short time. After thought carefully, she chose the field of ‘Internet plus entertainment’ but not traditional off-line activity. By applying her own experience, she warned students to make a decision after considering very, very carefully. We must measure the gap between reality and dream. We should try our best to do all-round analysis and consideration before action.
After that, Miss Wang shared her experience and inspiration during her university life. When she was at the university, she took part in various activity because her devotion to marketing and she did internship in the department of marketing in top 500 company in the junior year. After graduation, she found a steady work. However, in order to realize her dream, she began a new journey in her life----starting her own business, leading a team, facing clients independently and building her own career.
Miss Wang also shared the story of meeting her partner, from the their meeting the first time and appreciate each other, to building Wechat plant, and to becoming friends as David and Johnathan, best partners. She hoped students to cherish every chance of meeting people who appeared in our lives. We need to learn to help each other and make progress in our life.
In the end, students asked Miss Wang a lot of questions and they had warm interaction. The lecture finished in warm applauds. Miss Wang Shiqi took her own experience as example to present the hardship and harvest on the way of starting business. This helped students have a deeper understanding and thinking about starting business.
