In order to follow the spirit of The Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC and the 3rd Plenary Session of 18th CPC Central Committee, to obey the request of Chinese Ministry of Education that we should actively adapt to national strategy and the need of local economic and social development, the Department of Investment decided to combine extra-curricular practice and the integrated reformation of “Undergraduate Teaching Program” and conducted 2014 Summer Vacation “Excellent Social Research Report” selection activity according to the position stated by Shanghai University of Finance and Economics that SHUFE is “a multi-discipline research-oriented university with distinctive features in finance and economy” and the overall goal of “First Class, Collection, Standardization, Informatization ”.
Following is the notice about this activity:
1. This activity aimed to improve the abilities of comprehensively analyzing, problem solving and innovation of undergraduates. We wish all of you, during summer vacation, keep an eye on issues of society, economy and people’s livelihood and conduct positive and meaningful social research. Then use your professional knowledge to discovery, analyze and solve the problems.
2. This research will not have the limitation of topic, way of investigation, nor the length, so as to foster students’ ability of independent thinking and problem discovering.
3. This activity welcomes all the undergraduates in Department of Investment and Estates. Reports produced by both individual and a group are accepted.
4. Prize: 2000 RMB for First Prize, 1200 RMB for Second Prize, 600 for Third Prize.
5. Submission time: From 10th September 2014 to 17th September 2014.
