In the evening of 6th May, in the lecture hall on the first floor of the Administration Building, the activity of “I am face-to-face with President” was held by Youth league Committee and Student Union of SPEA. Vice-president Fang Hua was invited to talk about campus development, service security and the bright future to over 100 students. Heads of Logistic Management Dept., Security Dept. and New Construction Office attended this activity.
At the beginning of the activity, Mr. Fang announced the floor area, school building area, number of staff and students. He said Shanghai University of Finance and Economics is just like a big warm family and everybody was an indispensible part in the family. The staffs of logistic and service security department were the servers in the family, and all faculties would view students as their own children.
2017 will be the 100th anniversary of SHUFE and that will be a historic moment. All the people in SHUFE care about how SHUFE show us a new appearance to welcome this big event. Mr. Fang introduced in detail the campus construction planning from 2014 to 2017 to students. He showed a vivid picture to them in terms of main campus student dormitory, Wudong campus student canteen expansion, main campus gym, research and experiment center building, reformation of the great hall, students’ innovation training base, medical center, etc., and students were encouraged much by his description. Mr. Fang communicated with students in the perspective of student dormitory, canteen, campus safety, medical service and campus environment construction. Mr. Fang’s realistic attitude, humorous words, simple speaking style won students applause.
Three guest students from different colleges and other students attending the activity communicated and interacted with Mr. Fang warmly. He answered their questions patiently and gave affirmation in terms of students’ reasonable suggestions. At the same time, as a senior in SHUFE, Mr. Fang expressed his expectation and advices for students’ life and study. Students feel warm and were encouraged greatly.
At the end of the activity, students sent Mr. Fang the portrait of him and expressed their deep gratitude and highest respect to all the staff in the logistic and service security department for their diligent work.
